We’re rolling
Extoling
The trolling
Bolinger bands
Are polling
The paid-for sycophants keep scrolling
Propaganza you keep doling
Strolling
Through your
Cajoling
Paroling our plans
Loopholing
The one percenters not bank-rolling
Won’t rent shoes when they’re out bowling
Foaling
A new
Steam rolling
Condoning the
Button-holing
Of all the assets they’re controlling
All the ways that they’re high-rolling
Holing
To keep up with their
Goaling
That sneaks up in the
Middle of my mind
When I am
Trying hard to sleep
But then I’m done.
Bolinger bands are mathematical charting tools that are used as “indicators” for traders on stock exchanges, crypto, etc, to help them make buying or selling decisions.
Much like today’s so-called “prediction markets/poly-markets” (aka online betting platforms) are regarded by some as useful forecasting tools for societal issues, I played with the concept of market indicators and electoral polling as indicators of sentiment and therefore, as expressors of truth, and then, for fun created my own mangled, made-up word: “Propaganza”
However, it appears I can’t claim to be the originator. There’s a second great mind over in Brussels who does urban art under that very moniker.
Never-the-less, I could only take that one word sound (rolling) so far before I would run out of ways to make it make sense, and it was getting long enough anyway so I landed it with the idea of a person being woken up at night by work stress and the pressures of shareholders incessantly demanding more.
