Life eats life eats life eats life…

Rock eats stone
Like time eats sand
Mountains broken down
By a watery hand
The subduction zone
Was Ouroboro’s last stand
But turned to granite rock
At Medusa’s command

Layer by layer
Future shape for the earth
Species that will live on her
Not yet carried to their birth
The dust that they’ll be made from
And from whence then be returned
Still travelling from the surface
To the core
To be burned
