I am a wave
Rippling along endlessly
In an endless sea
Feeling nothing about
And being unconcerned for
Your weight pressing down on me
You might be solid steel
And straight edges
Ragged burrs and prickly
Engineered defences
But nature’s curls and its spirals
And its organic virals
Bring us all to our senses
You’ll see
As waves wash out on distant shores
In the end it all turns to grey
Order becomes noise again
Giving way to static and decay
From which
A latent space of physicality/potentiality
Then arises
Waiting
For a new wave
A new pump
A new dump
A new thought
A new scheme
A new frequency
A new light
New believers
In a new dream
And you
Despite your imposing power
And vast resources
Are a collapsed function
And no longer free
