Yes and No

Niks verder om daaroor te sê nie.
I have no interest in getting into debates with people who think they have an exclusive insight into the exact identity of who or what created all of existence. Such topics are nonsensical and time and energy wasting.
With all that said, I do like the Simulation Theory.
Eve – the mythical original rib-woman – gets a bad rap from misogynist bible-believers, and women have suffered for millennia because of the default-state low-level mental programming that comes from being indoctrinated into the nonsense that women are responsible for the fall of all mankind. Toe skryf ek daaroor…
My friend Jon Daamen owns and operates a beautiful art, music and functions venue just outside of Napier in the Western Cape and is herself an artist specialising in works created with pressed flowers, leaves, and found items from nature.
This poem is inspired by one of her works.
I grasped the universe-wide concept of Ouroboros at the tender age of about 10 or 11, with the understanding of reality popping into existence and then consuming itself before doing it all again.
Already at that age I understood Mark Twain when he said that he had been dead for millions of years before being born and it didn’t affect him in the least, just as his inevitable passing would not affect him again.
I’m not a fan of the digital monkeys that are being made to replace us all. But it is what it is and I haven’t stood back for any of life’s tests yet.
A DIY build-it-for-yourself kind of interactive poem where you and I make some progress and growth together. Nice!
